Caption this, please.
Regina’s Father had once told her that the eyes were the window to the soul, and if that were the case, Emma had one beautiful, beautiful soul.
"Yes." Emma’s whispers.
"You have a beautiful soul." The words tumble from Regina’s lips and it’s the first time she’s ever said something without thinking.
"Thank you." Emma is staring at her, as though she would never tire of it. "I’m happy I stayed alive long enough to meet you."
The sheath arrows strapped to Emma’s back glint dangerously in the moonlight.
"I am too." Regina says, truthfully.
Emma is her best friend, her only friend, in this world of deception and lies and magic.
Emma has narrowed the gap between them ever more, somehow, and Regina can’t remember lighting that lantern.
"You look lovely." Emma comments.
It’s true, Regina positively glows in her white dress with puff sleeves that Emma could never pull off.
"Kiss me." Regina says dreamily, "And, then we can run away, together. Just like we always dreamed."
"But, what about you’re mother? She cursed this house, you cannot leave, nor can I."
"True love’s kiss, can break any curse."
Emma kisses her. Regina kisses her back.
"I love you." For once, Regina’s voice is uncharacteristically quiet.
Then, a shock wave rages throughout the house.
Emma holds out her hand. “Come on, we must go. Before they find us.”
Regina grips it, and together, they flee.
As Regina feels the wind in her hair, and Emma’s arms around her waist, she finally has her Happily Ever After.
